A: We offer 4 Lake Austin pick up locations including Walsh Boat Landing, Loop 360 Bridge, Mary Quinlan Park, and Commons Ford Metropolitan Park. See Our Locations
Q: What is the best way to get to my pick up location?
A: All of our pick-up locations offer parking for free or for a nominal fee but we suggest using a rideshare company such as RIdeAustin, Fare, or Fasten which will make your trip a breeze since parking is limited and especially if you plan to have a few drinks. If you are planning on driving please allow time for traffic and to stop for beverages and snacks.
*Walsh Boat Landing has parking in the gravel lot directly across the street for $5 or if you don't mind walking a bit Oyster Landing has free parking and if that lot is full the LCRA has a parking garage next door that also offers free parking.
*Loop 360 Bridge has parking for $10 to be paid at the entrance but use a rideshare and save the $10 fee.
*Both Mary Quinlan Park and Commons Ford Metropolitan Park offer free parking with a short walk to the dock.
Q: Should I get a captain?
A: Keep Austin Wet specializes in captained ski and pontoon rentals and all off our captain are CPR certified so you can just sit back and relax while one of our qualified captains handles everything.
Q: Why rent?

Q: Does Keep Austin Wet offer any discounts?
A: Yes, Keep Austin Wet offers a 10% discount for all active military, police, or firefighters.
Q: Tubing, Wakeboarding, and Waterskiing
A: If you choose to participate in any of the above sports please check with your doctor to ensure that you are healthy enough to participate and be aware that these activities can be dangerous. ****We do not offer additional insurance if injury is to occur and your participation is “at your own risk.” Please check with your current insurance carrier to ensure that you are covered to participate in any of these sports.
Q: How will I know where to go on Lake Austin if I rent a boat?
A: We will provide you with an orientation covering boating laws, safety, watercraft operation, and a map of the lake.
Q: Can we keep the boats overnight?
A: No, but our hours are from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
Q: Will I need to refuel the boats?
A: No, all of our boats come with the fuel included in the price.
Q: Can I pay cash for my deposit?
A: Yes, although a credit card will be required to cover damages above and beyond the security deposit.
Q: Do I need an I.D.?
A: Yes , a valid U.S driver/ or other form of acceptable I.D. Is needed to rent any of our equipment. You must be 21 years of age and the person signing the contract must have the credit card in their name. (Sorry no momma’s credit card here)
Q: Why would I be charged for damage to a watercraft including a prop, equipment, cleaning, etc?
A: You will only be charges if you or someone driving the boat damages the vessel ie: rototillers the bottom of the lake with the prop, crashes into anything, loses or damages rental equipment, or causes excessive destruction to be determined upon return of the watercraft.
Q: Do I need a special license to drive the boats?
A: All you need to rent the boat is a sense of adventure and credit card for the deposit. You will be required to sign a liability release and should you damage the boat in any way you will be responsible for all cost associated with the repair of the boat. We do not offer insurance for the boats. Sometimes a homeowners/and or auto insurance will cover damage done, but that is entirely up to the renter to find out ahead of time.
Q: What about the deposit I put down?
A: Deposit Will Be Applied To The Rental. This is NOT the security deposit. All holiday deposits are Non-Refundable.
Q: How old do you need to be to rent a boat on Lake Austin?
A: The captain of the boat must be at least 21 years of age and show proof with a valid driver’s license at the time of rental.
Q: What happens if my lake austin boat rental breaks down?
A: All of our watercraft are covered with SeaTow and if for any reason we can’t get to you first, SeaTow will come to the rescue.
Q: What if I need to Cancel?
A: All cancellations must be received in writing to email@example.com 14 days before the rental date at no charge. Any cancellations made within 13 and 7 days will incur $100 charge,and any cancellations made within 7 days are subject to 50% charge of the total rental. No call/no show and day-of-cancellations are subject to a FULL CHARGE to the card on file.
Q: What happens if it rains or inclement weather occurs?
A: We DO NOT cancel due to forecasted rain/weather but will do so the day of at no charge if it indeed is raining at the lake during your rental time.
