The Endless Summer of 2016
Summer 2016 was one of those seasons that felt like it would never end, and we were perfectly fine with that. From Memorial Day through late October, Lake Austin and Lake Travis were alive with energy, sunshine, and good times. At Keep Austin Wet Watercraft, we spent every weekend helping groups make memories on the water, and the 2016 season was truly special.
The summer kicked off with record-breaking temperatures that sent everyone running to the lake. Water levels on Lake Travis were strong after a wet spring, which meant more coves to explore, better swimming conditions, and an overall incredible boating experience. It was one of the best years for lake conditions in recent memory.
What Made 2016 Special
The 2016 season was a turning point for Keep Austin Wet. We saw firsthand how much demand there was for quality boat rentals in the Austin area. Groups were not just looking for a boat. They were looking for an experience. Birthday celebrations, engagement parties, family reunions, and corporate team-building events all found their way onto our boats.
Austin was also experiencing rapid growth as a city, and with that growth came a flood of visitors discovering Lake Travis and Lake Austin for the first time. Many of our guests that summer were first-time visitors to the area, and there is nothing better than watching someone fall in love with the lake for the first time.
From 2016 to Today

Our team has grown, our processes have improved, and our commitment to delivering an outstanding experience on the water has only gotten stronger.
