Looking Back at the 2017 Boat Rental Season
The 2017 season on Lake Austin was one for the books. From spring break through Labor Day weekend, we had the privilege of putting thousands of guests on the water for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate outings, and everything in between. It was a year of growth for Keep Austin Wet Watercraft, and we are grateful for every group that trusted us with their lake day.
Lake Austin’s consistent water levels and calm conditions made it an ideal setting for boat rentals throughout the season. The weather cooperated for most of the summer, with long stretches of sunny days that kept the lake packed with happy boaters.
Highlights from the Season
One of the biggest trends we saw in 2017 was the rise of the party boat. Groups were looking for more than just a standard pontoon rental. They wanted music, space to move around, and a boat that felt like an event in itself. That demand is what drove us to continue expanding our fleet and improving the on-water experience for every guest.
We also saw a major increase in bachelor and bachelorette parties choosing Lake Austin over other destinations. Austin’s growing reputation as a food, music, and outdoor adventure hub made it a natural fit for groups looking to celebrate. A day on the lake followed by a night on Rainey Street or 6th Street became the go-to itinerary.
The Evolution of Keep Austin Wet
Since 2017, our fleet has grown significantly. Today we offer Tiki Vibes Party Boats, Double Decker Party Boats, Pontoon Party Boats, and Wakesurf Boats. Every boat in our fleet is maintained to the highest standards, equipped with quality sound systems, and designed to give your group the best possible experience on the water.
